Just thought I'd let you know our Development and Property Committee had no objections to me working with your group to developing a trail management strategy. The next step will be to obtain "official" status for the proposed "Friends of Beachburg Forest". This will open a lot of doors to obtain grants, etc. If you need any help with this process, we have some expertise here at the County.
Regards,
JM

That's fantastic! I haven't cozzied up to the documents you gave me at our intial meeting but hope to get that going in the next few days. I will most definitely be getting in touch with you at some point with questions so thank you for making yourselves available. This is really exciting and I can't wait to see the results of our cooperative efforts.
Sounds Great; From this end I think the ODAN Students will be able to do a lot of the initial trail update/maintance to get the trails back up to a reasonable standard. I am working w Shannon Hunter and Charles at WT to ensure that the class will spend the bulk of thier class time for thier Interpretive Trails Planning & Design course at the Beachburg Forest. Cam Dube may well be teaching that course. Great work everyone. Ian Pineau
Wicked! I was in there tonite, riding my bike and clipping away a few of the 'eye poker' branches. Looks like I'll be teaching the 'Trails' course for the college. This should work out just great.
